New Shrewsbury signing Arkell Jude-Boyd says he is ready to make an impact after becoming the club's first summer arrival.

The 23-year-old defender signed a two-year deal at the Croud Meadow last week - with the club having the option of an extra 12 months in our favour.

Speaking to the club's media team, Jude-Boyd discussed his playing style, where he sees himself fitting into Gavin Cowan's system and the qualities he hopes to bring to the squad.

The versatile defender, who is comfortable operating at full-back, wing-back and in midfield, also reflected on his time at Cheltenham and his recent experiences on the international stage with St Lucia.

Among the highlights while playing for his country, Jude-Boyd scored and helped St Lucia record a notable victory over Curaçao, who have qualified for the World Cup.
