Former Salop player Dean Craven has been appointed as the new manager of Shrewsbury Town Women.

A talented midfielder in his playing days, Dean first joined Town in 1997 after coming through the youth ranks at West Brom.

He is also a familiar figure in local football, having made more than 100 appearances for AFC Telford United between 2004 and 2007.
