Taylor Perry nominated for Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month
Taylor Perry's brilliant winner against Notts County has been nominated for February's Goal of the Month award in Sky Bet League Two.
A long throw was cleared as far as the edge of the box before the midfielder took aim and sent a left-footed rocket into the far corner.
His strike secured a third successive victory in a run that helped head coach Gavin Cowan win February's Manager of the Month award.
The EFL had high praise for the goal, saying: "What made Perry’s goal special wasn’t just the sweetness of his strike into the far corner, but his anticipation and judgement of how and where he could meet the ball as it fell to him."
Perry is in the running alongside Accrington Stanley's Alex Henderson, Colchester United's Arthur Read and Crewe Alexandra's Josh March.
Fans are invited to vote for their favourite goal on EFL.com before 5pm on Monday, March 16. The supporters' votes will be combined with the choices from a panel to determine the winners.
The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL experts Don Goodman & David Prutton.
