Shrewsbury Town are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Isaac Fletcher from Barrow for an undisclosed fee.
A tall and powerful central midfielder with an eye for goal, Fletcher becomes the club’s second signing of the summer after putting pen to paper on a two-year contract at the Croud Meadow. He follows fellow new arrival Arkell Jude-Boyd through the door, while Josh Ruffels and Luca Hoole have also committed their futures to the club as manager Gavin Cowan continues to shape his squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Isaac is a player who I have been aware of for a long time having seen him play at Spennymoor and at Barrow.
He is someone who has always impressed me.
As soon as we became aware there was an opportunity to speak with Isaac, we moved quickly because we felt he was a player who could really add to the group.
I would like to thank the Chairman for his backing. Isaac gives us real versatility, with the ability to play in a number of midfield positions as well as further forward.
Isaac has strong physical attributes, works tirelessly for the team and has a real knack for timing his runs into the box and scoring goals.
We’re delighted to bring him to the football club.
— Gavin Cowan
